This guided meditation was created specifically for those new to meditation. It provides a step-by-step guide to turn your focus from the outside world to an awareness of the inner. Those experienced in meditation will also find that it deepens their existing practice.
A large part of daily stress is about the future – anxiety about our work and financial security, worry about our relationships or fears about our health. Sometimes, too, ruminating on the past provokes feelings of sadness, hurt or regret.
By simply observing the present moment we can move from an overactive mind into our inner world of relaxation and peace. There we discover a different perspective, a new understanding. And when we return to the outer, it is with feelings of calm, of being refreshed and rejuvenated.
For those experienced in meditation and for newcomers, this method can be used as a regular practice and is suitable for all stages of life or health. Being passive it is especially beneficial for when we have limited energy, are ill or even dying. Once you are familiar with it, you can suggest it as a support for others.
The technique is designed and guided by meditation facilitator Maneesha James, the music especially created by musician and meditator, Sambodhi Prem.
